External Agencies and Partnerships
As a school, we have built good working relationships with a wide range of people who provide services to children with SEND and their families. This is particularly important when a child is demonstrating further cause for concern or their learning need is more complex and persistent. The external specialists we work with may:
As a school, we work with a number of outside agencies to provide the highest level of support for pupils with SEND. These agencies include:

- Medical Practitioners
- Educational Social Workers
- The Education Welfare Service
- Health Agencies and medical professionals
- We employ a counsellor to support children as needed
In addition, we have a School Parent Support Advisor, Siobhan Armstrong, who is based at St Hild’s and can provide support to families as needed. Siobhan has recently qualified as a Youth Mental Health First Aider which enables her to respond to emotional incidents.
At each step in the process, parents and carers are involved. All of the professionals we work with meet with parents and carers to gain their views and feedback their findings. They offer support and advice to ensure that the support we provide in school is also provided at home.
