In finding out about these explorers we will develop our geographic skills by learning how to use maps, atlases and globes and learn the names of the world's seven continents and its five oceans.

Reading in Year 2
It is very important that you practise your reading as much as possible at home. Try to read for 10 minutes every night. When you have read your reading book, ask your parents to sign it and bring it back to school where you will earn a Dojo point. If you read 3 times in one week, you will win a prize from the treasure chest. If you read 5 times in one week, you will win a prize from the treasure chest and earn a Shine Bright Dojo for 5 points!
