Year 6 have completed their PWA Explorers Award. We held a graduation afternoon to celebrate this fantastic achievement!

We had a Mother’s Day afternoon tea - we had a lovely afternoon

We planted a time capsule in the sensory garden to celebrate St Hild’s in 2019

Year 5 and Year 6 had a fantastic time at RobinWood!

KS2 were invited to Hild Bede College in Durham for an Easter Egg hunt. We had a great afternoon 🐣

We are taking part in lantern making sessions with our families

On Red Nose Day, we raised money for Comic Relief by wearing red, having crazy hair and selling cakes. We even had a School Council v Teachers quiz. The children won!

Each class took part in a judo lesson - it was great fun!

World Book Day was great fun!

Each class presented their online safety work during our e-safety assembly

Reverend Alan brought Bishop Frances into school. He comes from South Sudan and he told us all about his life. It was lovely to meet him. He really liked the African houses our Year 1 children had been making :)

We are completing the Family Learning programme with NUFC this term. It’s great fun!

Code Club is great fun. We are developing our programming skills

We entered Durham County Council’s “safe school gates” competition and we were one of the winning schools! Look out for the huge sign on our school gate.

We are collecting gifts for a school in Tanzania throughout advent. Jim from Dorothy’s Wells will give them to the children he supports

Take Away Theatre performed Aladdin - it was fantastic!

We are working on mindfulness in school by starting every afternoon with yoga

We had a lovely day wearing our pyjamas to raise money for Children in Need

Year 5 created some lovely anti-bullying leaflets and posters

We had a copper snake competition to raise money for MacMillian. Thanks to everyone who brought in their coins.

We had another Hoopstarz day! It was great fun!

We held our annual MacMillian coffee afternoon. Well done to Year 6 and thanks to Mrs White for organising it. We raised £226 - thanks to everyone who came to support us

Strider came into school with Nina to launch our walk to school initiative

We completed our Buddy Workout to raise money for the NSPCC

Miss Forster taught us a story in French to celebrate European Day of Languages

Cheryl from the NSPCC came in to remind everyone in school to “Speak out, Stay safe”

Year 5 and Year 6 helped to develop a Sensory Garden at Simon Berry Opticians with the RSPB and John from Wilderness Tamed

🎸🎸🎸 We launched Times Tables Rock Stars in style! 🎸🎸🎸

Year 5 and Year 6 took took part in a rowing competition with Durham City Rowing Club - it was great fun (we were all very competitive!)

We’ve had a great first week. Thanks to everyone who came to our meet the teacher afternoon
