Welcome to Year 2 2019-2020

 

This year your teachers will be Mrs Banks and Mrs Jones. You will also be taught PE and Computing by Mrs Ryder, Science by Miss Forster and PSHCE and Music by Mrs White and Mrs Jones. All of your teachers are very excited to get to know you and work with you on your learning journey this year.

Explorers Topic

Our topic this term is called Explorers.

We will be learning about key explorers from the past, including Captain Cook and Neil Armstrong. We will learn about who they are and why they were famous. Where did they travel? How did they get there? What was the world like during the time they lived? In Geography we will learn about maps, the names of the world's continents and oceans and how to use compass directions.
