We teach minds to think, hands to do and hearts to love.

Year 5

Welcome to Year 5

Our Summer Term topic is "Rivers and Mountains" and we have lots of exciting activities planned! We will be finding out about the River Wear which flows through Durham City and comparing it to other UK rivers as well as rivers all around the world. We will find out how rivers shape and change the landscape and investigate how they are used now and how they were used in the past. We will also find out how dangerous rivers can be. We will then explore mountains and find out how they are formed. We will find out about famous explorers who have completed amazing expeditions around the world.

Don't forget, we are taking part in FISCH every Monday afternoon and we have PE with Tim on Thursday afternoons this term so remember to bring your PE kit and your outdoor PE shoes please.
