Mrs Harvey and Mrs Jones
We have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in PE this half term. We have even tried kurling!
We have enjoyed using practical methods to complete a lot of our work within the classroom this half-term. We have been solving problems in maths, performing our own drama as well as preparing dramatic readings of our own poetry!
We enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year! Xīn Nián Kuài Lè!
We were lucky enough to have visits from Dogs Trust and Big Foot Arts. Dogs Trust taught us how to stay safe near unfamiliar dogs. Big Foot Arts helped us think about e-safety and how we can support our anti-bullying campaign in our school. The drama activities helped us think carefully about the important messages.
We have been learning about animals including humans. This has involved researching different food groups and how packaging helps us. We have also investigated our digestive system and even used various images and practical methods to learn about skeletons.
We're doing dance with Gemma from Durham SSP in PE this half term

In science, we carried out fair tests to find out how far a car could travel on different surfaces

We worked as a team and carried out research together to find out more about St Hild

In PE, we learned how to attack and defend during team games

We did practical maths to help us to learn our times tables

We used the letters in the word "harvest" to share important messages during Harvest Festival
We found out how our money helps people during Jeans for Genes day

We used our observational skills in art to draw our table partners
